Vehicle storage is available in many shapes and sizes for all types of vehicles. Types of vehicle storage you might consider are automobile storage, RV storage, boat storage, truck storage, and more. Among the many vehicles you may consider putting into vehicle storage, you should also consider the accommodations you prefer for your vehicle while in storage. For example, you may want a garage storage for a classic car. Perhaps you are into buying classic cars and restoring them. However, you should be sure to read and understand the rules and regulations that your vehicle storage facility has towards working on cars while in vehicle storage. Typically, the owner of the car must be the vehicle storage tenant and show proof of title or insurance. Some vehicle storage facilities require that cars be in running condition and do not allow mechanical work to be done on the storage property. This is to prevent the vehicle storage facility from becoming an eye sore or a junk yard.

Another great use for vehicle storage is storing extra cars in locations where parking may be limited, such as a city. If you rent an apartment or own a condo, you may have two or just one parking space. If your family owns more than one or two cars, vehicle storage is the most economical solution to parking. Renting additional parking from your landlord or property management company typically costs much more than offsite storage from a vehicle storage provider.

Other than cars, vehicle storage is ideal for recreational vehicles such as boats and wave runners. If you do not have enough garage space to park your trailer and boat, you may be prohibited from parking it on city streets by the city, homeowners association or both. However, do not let parking problems keep you and your family from enjoying the luxury and convenience of having a fun-filled weekend on your favorite lake. Vehicle storage is the perfect solution. Vehicle storage will allow you to access your boat or watercraft when you are ready to have some fun and then safely park it in a secure location until you are ready to get away again.

Boat storage can be outdoors or indoors, depending on the size and type of boat as well as your personal preference. RV storage is another form of vehicle storage that is increasing in popularity. Similar to boats, RV owners may find themselves lacking enough space to park their RV while they are not touring the country. As with boat storage, RVs are typically large and may not fit into a standard garage. Parking RVs on the street is not always practical due to city restrictions. Offsite vehicle storage is also arguably more secure that parking your RV on the street because professional storage should include an access controlled gate so that only tenants can enter the property, video surveillance for your peace of mind, an on-site manager to keep an eye on the property.

RV storage can be in the form of outdoor vehicle parking, covered outdoor parking, garage-like units, and even indoor garage parking for Class A RVs, which require taller doors an ceilings. RV storage is a great way to protect your investment and guarantee that a vacation is only as far away as the nearest self storage facility.
