Why are you deciding to store you belongings? Most of the time you will hear that the answer is that they want to keep those particular items but they do not want to get rid of but do not have room in their house for. Also, it helps if the property manager lives on site, and/or there are video cameras throughout. Good properties have strong doors, door alarms, gates, and motion sensor lighting. While not all of these things are necessary, they do play a big part in making sure you belongings are safe while you’re paying for storage.

Hire someone to clean your old house when you move out so you can concentrate on your new one. It is not a bad idea, if you can afford it, to have someone detail your home. You have people detail your car from time to time, so it is not a far stretch to have someone detail your home. If you find someone locally to clean your old home, you will be helping the local economy as well.
