Have you ever been in the doctors office and seen comical signs posted around the waiting room? It might be just one way to lighten the mood of a task that no one looks forward to. After all, why are you at the doctors office? Not solely because you just really want to meet the minimum deductible of your health insurance, if you are lucky enough to afford insurance. Probably not because you enjoy sitting in a room full of other sick people. Most likely not because you prefer waiting yet another 20 minutes in the small exam with no clock, awkwardly propping yourself upright onto the table.

If we take the biblical proverb, a cheerful heart is a good medicine literally, then maybe a comic book and funny signs are the best medicine we can get.

However, witchdoctors and PhDs alike will tell you that sometimes, you need more than the funny page of the newspaper to cure a serious ailment. It is always nice when the doc prescribes an medicine and then sends you home with a bag full of free samples.

That is just great! Not only do you save a trip to the pharmacy, but you save money. This is especially gracious if you do not have insurance.

But where to all those samples come from and who gives them away?

Pharmaceutical reps and independent salesmen meet with the doctors in charge of the office and inform the doctor about the benefits of the drug. As a way to promote their medicine, they leave samples behind for the doctor to give away.

We have all heard those commercials where they say, Four out of Five doctors recommend (whatever it is they are selling). Well, this is how the pharmaceutical reps get those first four doctors – by giving them free stuff.

If a doctor starts giving away samples and sees great results in his patients, he will continue to prescribe the drug.

But wait a minute, where do the pharmaceutical reps keep all those drugs in the meantime? They certainly cannot keep medicines in the trunk of their car. The temperature could corrupt the medicine, and imagine explaining to the police officer that not only were you speeding, but you do have a pharmacy in the back seat. It would not be a pretty circumstance.

Professional pharmaceutical reps store their medicine in climate controlled storage . Climate controlled storage rooms keep the temperature at a constant and safe level for their prescription drugs. In addition, climate controlled storage regulates the humidity, so that the medicines are not damaged. This allows the pharmaceutical rep the convenience of keeping a large inventory of product close by their target areas.

For a pharmaceutical rep who travels to different cities, it would be a pain, impractical and expensive to drive home or to the office between each visit to the doctors office. A more efficient solution is renting a climate controlled storage room in every city or neighborhood you cover. This means you will be able to provide excellent service to each of your clients.

And in a business where the competition is stiff, and may even have a pharmaceutical rep right next to you in the waiting room, you will need every minute you can get. By renting a climate controlled storage , you will not only have the highest quality product, but will be able to deliver it at a moments notice.

When you are looking for your first home, what kind of qualities do you want that house to possess. When people are looking for their first home, they are looking for particular things that they want to be a part of their everyday life. While looking for that perfect house you do not want to make the mistake of paying for a home monthly when you do not really enjoy living there.

You might take months or even years to make that right decision that is going to get you the best home for the dollar. First, you should look at the most amount of money that you can give to the bank, monthly. Usually you want to see how much house or how many different amenities you can get for your hard earned dollar.

One great thing that most people look for but do not put a huge emphasis on is the ability to control how hot or cold your house is at any certain time. For most families this is a lifesaver on those very hot days or on those blistery winter days. Being able to control the temperature of your home is a key amenity to home ownership.

This same amenity can be said to be a great thing for the self storing industry. Many people are looking for climate controlled storage in order to keep their belongings from the extremes. When many people think about this type of rental space they do not really know what it is or why they should rent it. They see the higher price tag associated with this type of rental space, but they do not know the benefits.

Climate controlled storage does a great job of controlling the temperature inside the rental space. This different type of space allows you the opportunity to protect your belongings from the extremes of each temperature. It is as if you are placing your items in the living room of your house. These are things that you do not want to put in your garage where they could be damaged from the weather.

Another great benefit of climate controlled storage is it also protects you from the elements such as the rain or other elements. With storing on the outside, your items could be susceptible to dust and other harmful things that could hurt your belongings. Who wants to open up their door and see that their items are ruined from the elements? No one wants that.

Depending on your area of the nation, you might have many options when it comes to choosing which climate controlled storage will earn your business. Many facilities have both options for the customer to choose from. You as the property manager have to find out what the customer is storing to be able to assist them in finding the ideal rental space. You are the guiding light for the customer in terms of making sure they do not make a mistake in finding the wrong space for their needs.

Climate controlled storage can benefit a wide range of people. For people who are storing their priceless antiques to their very expensive furniture, they need to ensure the right space fits their needs. Ensure that your clientele make the right decision and does not focus solely on the price tag. Is their a price tag on their priceless belongings?

Climate controlled storage is an excellent choice for self storage tenants that find themselves concerned with the humidity and environment of their belongings while kept in a storage unit. While standard self storage offers no temperature control and is much like storing items in a shed or garage, climate controlled storage is kept at a constant temperature and maintains a lower level of humidity. Climate controlled storage is much like storing items in your own home and gives self storage tenants peace of mind by knowing their items are in a safe environment.

A climate controlled storage unit environment is ideal for wooden furniture, antiques, paintings, leather furniture or collectibles, clothing, paperwork and records, candles, artwork, TVs, computers and other electronics, medical equipment, musical instruments, mattresses, some metal items, and other temperature or humidity sensitive items. Climate controlled storage is also ideal for long term storage, where the temperature change or humidity levels have a larger impact on the items within the climate controlled storage unit.

Items that one can typically not place in self storage or climate controlled storage are flammable items such as gasoline, living or dead organisms, biohazardous chemicals or waste, trash, food and other perishable items.

Circumstances in which one would not need climate controlled storage may be for car storage, boat storage, RV storage and other large, outdoor items like lawn furniture or lawn care and lawnmower storage.

When one is searching for a storage unit, he or she should ask the storage facility manager if climate controlled storage is an option. Typically, there is a minimal price difference between the cost of a non-climate controlled storage unit and the cost of a climate controlled storage unit. Above the cost of the storage unit types, a self storage tenant should also inquire about the details of the climate controlled storage unit, as each storage facility may define climate controlled storage differently or offer unique amenities.

For example, one storage facility may consider having a cooling device in the unit as climate controlled storage whereas, other storage facilities may have state of the art temperature control and humidity sensors in their climate controlled storage units. Typically, a self storage facility will maintain all climate controlled storage units at the same temperature, which is controlled by the self storage manager. This prevents climate controlled storage tenants from forgetting to turn on the temperature control or adjust it with the seasons. Allowing the self storage manager to control the temperature of all climate controlled storage units is also more energy efficient. However, some self storage facilities do offer climate controlled storage units that allow each individual tenant to adjust the temperature of the storage space.

One specialized form of climate controlled storage is wine storage. Wine storage should be maintained at a constant temperature. This hybrid form of climate controlled storage usually comes with other perks for wine storage tenants, some of which include member-only tasting rooms and wine storage record keeping. Any reputable wine storage facility should also boast limited sunlight within the wine storage area in order to prevent UV damage to the wine bottles. One benefit to using offsite climate controlled storage for a wine collection is the large wine collection capacity. One can far exceed the space his or her home would allow for wine storage simply by renting a larger wine storage unit.
