StorageMart Fire Minimized By Quick Response Time

Columbia, MO USA – July 22, 2010 – On July 21, 2010 at approximately 10:00 am the manager of the StorageMart facility at 1723 E. Florida in Springfield, MO saw smoke and fire coming out of a self storage unit. She immediately called 911 and the fire department responded within minutes.

StorageMart’s manager followed all protocol by reporting the fire immediately to 911, and then to her regional manager. The fire department has not finalized their formal cause of the fire. At this time, it seems that 26 storage units were affected by fire, smoke or water.
