Kansas City StorageMart Donates To Raise Environmental Awareness
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Columbia, MO, USA – July 26, 2010 – StorageMart is pleased to support Bridging The Gap, a Kansas City, Missouri non-profit organization that works to make the Kansas City region sustainable by connecting environment, economy and community.
StorageMart donates a large self storage unit from their Downtown Kansas City storage facility to Bridging The Gap. A representative from the organization says the storage space “allows us to solve some issues we have with wheelbarrows, spades and so on for three of our programs who do a lot of planting or digging.”
Bridging The Gap runs a long list of programs each aimed at conserving the environment and promoting environmental awareness. Some of these programs include Kansas City WildLands, Five Green Things, EarthWalk, Clean Commute, Walking School Bus and more. These programs range in services from restoring natural habitat, reducing carbon emission and even walking children to school.

Since that time, BTG had educated thousands of citizens and businesses on the environmental impact they have. Today, the organization works with approximately 2,600 volunteers each year; these volunteers work together to make their community and world healthy and sustainable.
