Cheap storage is nothing different from the regular storing. It is only finding ways to cut the cost of warehousing and the techniques that can be used to gain some value for money. You must be thinking that there must be some new methods of storing that you did not know. You are right and you are wrong as there is something that you have overlooked and there are some methods that you did not think about earlier. You do not have to be an expert in financials to calculate the cost that you can reduce by storing in a way just a little bit different from what you usually do.

You must have found while storing that after you have finished packing your container or unit, there is some space left in it. They often miss your eyes as we are accustomed to storing our articles at our home that way. If you add together all the small spaces that you leave empty, you will find that you have almost half filled the available space. You are not the only one, most of the people actually do so. When carefully calculated, you will be astonished to find that you are actually paying twice for not utilizing the space to the maximum. So fill up the empty spaces for cheap storage .

Arranging your storing space can start right from your home. You can mix and match your available units to gain the maximum space for your articles. Also try to use the nooks and corners of your home to find or carve out storing spaces instead of adding further closets, cabinets and wardrobes. The little ledge on the fireplace and the wall on both sides are often left as it is. When space is becoming dearer then leaving out such places and investing in a new cabinet can never be an option of cheap storage . Put up some shelves and fill the void. They might make some beautiful places to store your small showpieces which other wise might have needed a whole glass front cabinet to store. The side panels of the unit can house some books of interest that are lying in the boxes. You cut costs here and there by simply identifying the spaces and making small adjustments to suit your purpose.

Do not just throw away jars and containers that can be used over and over again. It is often seen that people throw away the containers of jam, biscuits, etc. to buy similar looking containers at a price. Without knowing they actually throw away the cheap storage alternatives. These containers can be used for storing kitchen supplies like spices, pulses, etc. You can find uses of such materials once you start identifying them.

When you are paying for storing space in the large storing facilities make sure that the space you hire is well utilized. Try to stack the materials in a way that no space is lost. The small articles should be stored in boxes with the heavier articles at the   bottom. Then place one on the top of another to cover up the space from ground up to the top. If the storing space is a container then try to cover up to the ceiling. But keep in mind that while you are storing do leave space for easy movement while unpacking or else your over enthusiasm with cheap storage can increase the workload while you try to take out some article without disturbing the arrangement of the others.
