Portable storage boxes are being preferred over conventional storehouses owing to their mobility. Nowadays, the mobile storing containers are being manufactured with environmental regulation features. Hence, one need not think of storing his belongings in public storing areas. The wood and steel combination makes the portable storage systems strong, resistant to any environmental onslaught and increases their durability. These containers are provided with adequate insulation to prevent the outside atmospheric temperature from affecting the temperature inside the container. These mobile containers usually have a metallic door that can be conveniently opened or closed.
It is seen that atmospheric humidity causes great damage to metallic and wooden furniture. Metallic surfaces start getting corroded when exposed to atmospheric moisture. Wood on the other hand, absorbs the atmospheric moisture when the humidity is high and desorbs it when it is dry outside. During this process, the molecules of wood expand and contract and they set haphazardly against the grain. This weakens the structure of wood and also distorts the furniture. Apart from this the protective coating of enamel that is given on the wood dries up and breaks as the furniture gets old. Wooden items that are not kept in portable storage suffer from the detrimental effects of atmospheric temperature and humidity.
Apart from this, wooden furniture is affected by fungi and mildew especially when the temperature and humidity are very high in the atmosphere. In the storing areas where there is no circulation of fresh air, the environmental microorganisms grow rapidly and affect the items. Hence it is important that the storehouses are property ventilated. Environmentally regulated storehouses are a necessity for maintaining expensive items. Top quality storing always keeps the items in a good condition for years. Environmentally regulated warehouse is essential for not only wooden and metallic furniture but other sensitive items like electronic goods, food items and wine etc.
