Of course, if you are going to be loading a lot of heavy furniture into your unit, then you might want to consider renting a drive up self storage unit.  These units are ground level, and you are going to be able to pull your car right up to the door.  Typically speaking, you can simply pull your car into, or partially into, the unit, and you will not have to worry about dealing with any long hallways or anything like that.  If I, personally, were going to rent a unit, and I knew that I was going to have to store a ton of heavy furniture, then I would be sure to rent one that was drive up accessible.

If you know that you are going to be storing tons of electronics, then you are going to have to be sure that you are renting a climate controlled self storage unit.  These units, typically speaking, are going to be held between sixty and seventy degrees, meaning that your temperature sensitive items are not going to be harmed by changes in the temperature and humidity.  Computers, televisions, video game consoles, and even clothing items are going to fare much better in these kinds of units.  Though they are going to run you a little bit of extra money, you are going to find that the safety of your belongings is well worth it.

Moving on, here, you are going to want to rent a large, garage size unit if you know that you are going to be storing a vehicle.  Typically speaking, most facilities are going to be able to offer this kind of vehicle storage.  Of course, when you are calling around, you must specify that you are going to be using your unit for vehicle storage.  Some managers do not have the proper insurance to allow this, so by telling them from the get go that you are going to be storing a vehicle, you guarantee that you are not going to get yourself into any trouble.

If you are going to be storing an inventory of items, i.e. your products, then you are going to want to be sure that you rent a self storage unit that comes with shelving supplies.  With these, you are going to be able to sort your products into rows, leaving yourself access to individual items when you need to retrieve them.
