• Pack the items well

Instead of simply dumping all the items into the storing unit, pack them properly using plastic covers, paper, cartons, bubble-wrap and tape so that the items remain well-protected during the storing period. It is also important to pack each item in the right way. For instance, books must be packed on their flat sides and not on the edges. However, framed items placed in cargo spaces must be placed on their edges and not laid flat. • Packing heavy items

Before storing large items like water filters, freezers and fridges, it is essential to thoroughly clean and dry them.
