While shifting essentially means transporting ones belongings from one location to another, movers can be categorized on the basis of the distance and types of commodities they move. Some of the basic categorizations will include

These companies are governed either by the Department of Transportation or the Public Utilities Conference. Charges for these moves are usually on a per hour basis.
