He needs work to be done and for this he has to motivate and encourage the team so that proper productivity techniques are ensured. He has to ensure that quality is maintained, budget is taken care of and the environmental objectives are met. He has to keep a track of the existing stocks either manually or with the use of computerized techniques. Sometimes he is required to deal with customer queries and communicates with them, either through telephone calls, faxes or e-mails. He not only monitors the current growth and requirements of the organization but also makes planning for future requirements and prospects of growth.
