Looking for storage buildings is not like spotting planets in other solar systems with a giant telescope, but it does take a trained eye. The issue is finding storage buildings for your purpose. There are many types of storage buildings, some with multiple purposes but not necessarily for your purpose. Before you go in shock from this unexpected news, sit back, drink a can of root beer, and enjoy leaning about the different types of storage buildings.

Storage shed
These types of storage buildings are usually set behind homes and rental properties. There primary use is for outdoor storage which includes rakes, shovels, lawnmowers, and other landscaping equipment. Many storage sheds are used as a garden shed where people pot plants and other garden duties. These storage buildings may resemble miniature barns or tiny airplane hangers. They are made of either wood or some type of thin metal. Though they are useful, they are not always pleasing to the eyes. Some yards are too small to handle a storage shed.

RV storage buildings and boat storage buildings
These storage buildings store exactly what is stated in the title. Recreational vehicle storage or RV storage in storage buildings is a great storage solution for RV owners who cannot park their RV at home. There are a few reasons why they cannot park the RV or boat at home. One reason, and a very simple reason, is there is no storage room for the RV or boat. People just do not have the space at their house or apartment for the RV or boat. City ordinances and homeowner association rules sometimes ban the parking of an RV or boat in residential neighborhoods. So the RV or boat owner must find another location for RV storage or boat storage.

Furniture storage buildings
There are no city ordinances banning the storage of furniture at peoples homes, but most people rather put their extra furniture in storage buildings. Usually these storage buildings are self storage units. Storage units come in many different sizes so a customer in the need for furniture storage can rent a storage unit according to how much furniture they have for storage. Storage units also have the options for climate control storage. Climate control storage units provide a safe environment for furniture storage that may be temperature sensitive. This includes wood furniture and leather sofas. Climate control storage buildings are set to remain at 70 degrees Fahrenheit no matter how hot or cold it is on the outside. Climate control storage units are especially good for long term storage. During long term storage, furniture storage could experience all types of temperatures if left in a normal storage unit, which is damaging to the furniture.

Commercial storage buildings
No one is storing bad TV ads with catchphrases like, where is the beef here. Commercial storage has to do with business storage. For example, retailers need to store overstock inventory, especially if the retail location has a small storage room. During the holiday season many self storage companies enjoy business from retailers who prepare themselves for the big rush. Restaurants rent self storage units for commercial storage to put away some extra tables, chairs, and food storage. Some restaurants rent commercial storage in storage buildings for wine storage. These are special storage units designed specifically for wine bottles. Lastly, commercial storage buildings also hold document storage. When medical offices fill up the breathing space with patient records and medical documents, they rent storage buildings for their commercial storage.
